Australian alumni in Vietnam can access professional development and networking opportunities, as well as the Australian Alumni Grants Fund.

On-line academic information resources

Alumni of both Australian and Vietnamese Government Scholarships receive free access to selected international scientific and academic databases. Contact Aus4Skills for more information about this resource and how to access it.

The Australian Alumni Grants Fund

The Australian Alumni Grants Fund (AAGF) funds alumni to undertake projects that contribute to Vietnam’s development, including applied research, organising training courses and workshops, or improving workplace systems and processes.

The AAGF is implemented under the Aus4Skills Program. Alumni are encouraged to submit proposals that:

  • consolidate their professional knowledge and skills gained in Australia;
  • contribute to organisational and institutional change in selected Vietnamese government, private sector, civil society and other partner organisations; and
  • strengthen linkages between Australia and Vietnam.

During 2017 to 2022, the AAGF has provided over AUD2.2 million to nearly 500 alumni with funding to implement over 170 initiatives. Funded projects have involved a wide variety of professional, community development and capacity building activities, public awareness and advocacy activities, and organisational and institutional change activities in priority sectors.
